Europe In The Late 1800's

Europe in the late 1800's, was struggle by their population death, Agriculture Revolutions, and medical advance. Europe death rate was increase, because there was disease that people cannot stop. Medical advance was not as useful as today. People were in despair from a shortage of food supplies. Then one day scientist found ways to stop disease with more helpful medical advances. More Industrial and Agricultural develop to help the wealth of Europe people. Then Europe growths begin to develop. This shows, that Europe is becoming more modern.

Europe's population growth in the late 1800's had been at the rate about 16 per cent for each twenty-year period. The Overall the total population of Europe was about 190 million by 1850s. Then later it had increased to 480 million by the late 1800's. Population grew so quick during that period of time because of useful medical advances and improvement in agricultural.

Agricultural led to larger way to support their people to live longer and it increased the wealth in the lower class and as well as to the world's. It brought in machines and tractor to decrease in the man power required for farming. The Industrial and Agricultural Revolutions are one way that helped Europe people's from death. It gained Europe from the farming of other modernized country. Agricultural is one way that keep population growth.

One way that kill many people in Europe is disease. A disease call smallpox is a disease that killed many people and left others with bad skin. Anthrax is also a disease that often fatal caused by the bacterium. This disease occurs in humans, but is more likely to happen in animals. It is a disease that may infest the bloodstream and cause death. Then scientist founded way to stopped the disease from happening, because of better medical advances.

Edward Jenner, was a scientist during the early 1800's. He was an English Physician who practicing medicine in Berkeley, England. He believed that people who had caught cowpox could not catch smallpox. Cowpox is a disease that causes a few sores on the hands, but it can cause death. Jenner helped a eight years old boy from effected smallpox. Jenner made two cuts on the arm of the boy and inserted cowpox sores from a girl to the boy. Then the boy caught cowpox. Forty-eight days later, Jenner inserted the smallpox in to the boy's arm. It had been fatal, the smallpox matter had no effect, because the body had been treated with cowpox matter. Edward Jenner, work's had help many people with his experiment. It was the first successful medical ever given.

Robert Koch, is a German physician who lived to the late 1800's. He was the first scientist to show bacteria cause diseases. Koch received a prize for his work on diseases, as well he earned a medical degree at Gottingen in 1866. In 1872, Koch was living in Wollstevn near Poland. He began to study anthrax, a disease that affects people's lifestyle. It occur in humans, but is more likely to occur in animals such as horse, sheep, and cow. Anthrax bacterium became a representation for the study of germs that cause specific diseases. Then later, Koch found a way of preventing the diseases through his experimented. In 1877 after his study of bacteria, Koch published articles and book that helped people to understand what can cause diseases and other specific germs. His help included films of bacterial diseases on glass slides and books that tell series steps about what certain germ can cause a dangerous disease. After Koch successful study, Europe population and wealth increased a lot. What Koch had been studied and experimented through are, now known as Koch's Postulates, and still used by people who studying bacteria.

Louis Pasteur, is a French Chemist and professor who lived to the late 1800's. He was is the founder of modern microbiology. It's the study of bacteria and viruses that cannot be seen with a naked eye. The electron microscope, which made more possible to spot the viruses. In 1881, Pasteur began to experimentation rabies. It is a deadly viral disease of human and other mammals. This virus is from the bite of an infected animal. Four years after Pasteur study, there was a small boy who was bitten by a dog who had rabies. Pasteur uses his experimented of study to help the small boy. Then many weeks after, the boy did not get rabies. Louis Pasteur, was a scientist who had helped people to a healthy way too!

Europe was struggled by what had happen to them. People were dying from disease and less food supplies. Medical advance wasn't that successful to help their people. Then in the late 1800's, scientist found better medical advance to stop the cause of disease. Agricultural increase the wealth of population growth and led to more jobs. This shows, that in the late 1800's Europe is becoming a successful continent.
